What are the benefits of musical participation? Creating a comprehensive measure.

Abstract

There has been a recent surge of interest in the impact of music on well-being. Existing qualitative studies have begun to outline benefits of music participation, yet these studies are limited by small samples and narrowed focus. Moreover, research that considers both vocal and instrumental ensembles is scant.
